jazzabelle's diary, a little documentary.
Hello everyone! Do you remember earlier this year I wrote a post sharing with you that I was being filmed by Purple Boot Media for a little blogging documentary? Well here are the results! I was ever so nervous about what I'd look like and how I'd come across, but I'm rather pleased (just excuse my awfully frizzy hair!) with it all. Of course looking back now there are things I could have worded better, but for a girl who is always nervous, I think I did pretty well. A huge thank-you to Purple Boot Media for asking me to be featured in their webisode, I had such a wonderful time! I really do hope you all like the video, I'd love to know your thoughts! I'm sorry for being an awful blogger lately, I'm hoping I'll be in the mood to post again soon. Thank-you for being such wonderful readers. Love, Jazzabelle.

This is a lovely video, I live in south london and am really tempted to go to that chairty shop if i can find it! xx
ReplyDeleteOh that was just wonderful. I totally agree with your take on blogging as style rather than fashion, I find when I say I have a fashion blog people may look at me strange if I'm not wearing something trend based. I'm definitely going to come and visit your charity shop when I'm next in London!
ReplyDeletex
This video is AMAZING, and your passion for the V&A has inspired me to go back for the first time in yonks :)

ReplyDeleteJazmine you're such a star! I know I've only met you once, but you came across as so true to life and genuine here - I loved the way they've put all of the clips together, and it was so nice to get a different glimpse into your life! Loved it :) x

ReplyDeleteSeriously this is the cutest video :) I would have possibly come out with a whole load of rubbish babble and they'd probably have to put subtitles underneath to translate what I was saying. And you have a lovely hat so it's all good
ReplyDeleteIt would be mine

ReplyDeleteI love your voice, you are so beautiful! x
ReplyDeleteHello, I really enjoyed your video by the way. I think that it's cool that you shared with us details about where you find your treasures. I guess I used to think "no way, that couldn't have been 50p!". Charity shops near me are pretty expensive, in comparison...which I guess made me have doubt sometimes. But I really enjoy your blog. Keep posting.
ReplyDeleteLovely video, the V&A never fails to amaze me either :)
ReplyDeletex
Oh, wow, the video is amazing! I love how everything works so well together, the atmosphere, the music, the different places.

Oh wow, you should be really proud of this it was lovely to watch!
ReplyDeleteI think I echo what most people have been saying - I loved how genuine and interesting you were in this film. What a fun project to get involved with! An inspiration to thrifty girls everywhere - the things you find are amazing.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, time to take an early lunch break and hit the Goodge Street second hand stores I think... You put the idea in my head! xx
I really enjoyed watching this, you came across as such a lovely person. Your style is amazing and even more so that you wear so much from charity shops. Recently I've not had the time to do as much charity shopping as I used to, but you've definitely inspired me to start rummaging again x
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment today. I see you're lacking blog motivation and confidence too. :( I hope you're ok and that you get back into the blogging swing of things again soon.
ReplyDeleteI did a degree in Graphic Design but have always loved Interior Design. I did a short course on it in the evenings after uni and just knew it was what I wanted to do. It's just a case of mustering up the confidence to try and chase that dream and find a job of some kind. Almost a year later I've got off my bum! :)
I'm crossing everything in the hope I get it. I'm so scared and feel I don't know anything! But I need to just go for it, however nervous I am.
I think you should definitely look at going into Interior Design somehow :) You're comment brought a smile to my face. Thank you xxx
Awe, Jazmine! It's always such a pleasure to hear your lovely voice and accent! :D This video is awesome! And of course, so are you. I had to watch it till the very end.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a nice week!
Miki.
What a lovely little video, you come across really well. I'm guessing you're a Battersea resident, can't believe i've still not been to the car boot sale when i only live in Balham! Just realised I wasn't following you, slips my mind all the time to click on the little button, silly me. Hope you're well poppet xx
ReplyDeleteawww great video. You seem like such a lovey! :)

ReplyDeletei think you're so adorable! thnx for this video :)
ReplyDeleteOh lovely this is a great video! You should burn it to a disc and keep it, honestly, it's a chapter of your life concisely edited to 8 minutes, that's definitely worth saving. I never knew your Mum took your photos! Aren't Mums great :) ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
ReplyDeleteP.S. You came across really well too, quietly confident and articulate, so no nerves whatsoever! :)

ReplyDeleteReally I just wanted to comment to share my mutual love for Paisley! I found a men's M&S shirt in Oxfam a while ago and oh god, it's just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteyou're lovely, thanks for sharing
you're adorable--and I LOVE your accent, dear. I've really enjoyed watching your blog grow--since I think I was one a the first few--and by few I mean 50. =] I know EXACTLY what you mean about getting an e-mail about a comment on your blog--it's such a happy feeling that almost can't be described.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is incredible - I can safely say that it's my top favourite blog right now. You are absolutely gorgeous and so inspiring!

I loved your documentary! You came across really well and I loved your honest, delightful and fun approach to it!

ReplyDeleteYou are lovely!
ReplyDeletethis is so inspiring and im so proud of you! you look amazing and your confidence has grown such huge amounts - well done doll! x
ReplyDeletethis was lovely to watch and get to know you more <3 you are definitely one of my favourite bloggers!
ReplyDeleteSo inspiring! I just can't imagine how far u can go with fashion looking at bargain or charity prices. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteI've only just come across your blog through a retweet by LLYMLRS from the Look Show (I think that's it at least!). I really couldn't leave your blog without leaving a comment to say how inspiring I've found it- particularly after watching this documentary. I love how honest and stripped back your style is and your approach to art and particularly the V&A. You really are an inspiration to the rest of us, particularly me who's more than guilty of being caught up in the whole consumerist whirpool that is fashion marketing- the amount I spend on clothes is obscene! I wish you the best of luck, although I doubt you'll need it, and also thank you- this is probably one of the first blogs I've come across that I've really been moved by x
ReplyDeleteI realise I'm a bit late in watching this but I love it!! You come across as being so lovely! :) x
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled across your blog. I really enjoyed watching this video about you. I love boot sales and charity shops as well...Don't know how I am going to cope during winter without car boots ha! Battersea isn't too far from me, I should try and venture to their car boot sales next year. x
ReplyDeleteVery much enjoyed the video!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had as much confidence as you to be infront of the camera.

I just discovered your blog today. I was really impressed by your naturally chic sense of style and your appreciation for art. I also like the fact that you see the value in recycling and donating to a worthy cause. Thanks for sharing your lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteIve just stumbled upon your blog via the asos website today. Can I firstly just say you seem lovely, as is your blog. I was getting a little fed up with the usual self indulgent and dare I say unrelatable style blog's that are so popular today. As a fellow blogger I understand the time constraints, effort and 'square eye' syndrome one often gets from repetitive blogging. However you come across very humble and honest and I appreciate that in fashion. Your honesty is quite endearing so please stay honest and stay stylish and keep posting.
ReplyDeleteKindest Regards
Terri.
Jasmine, i just found your blog today, and felt quote inspired to go back to shopping in charity shops again.
ReplyDeleteThe documentary was lovely and so are you. If i ever bump into you anywhere I will be sure to say hello.
P. s I recently got membership at the V&A and saw the Thomas Heatherwick exhibition, go see it if you haven't.
