I do apologize for the photograph overload, but I honestly adore this outfit so I just couldn't narrow down the pictures my mum took of me. I wore this to attend a Next event on Wednesday (Sophie recently posted a lovely little post on the day!), and recieved quite a few compliments, which was rather nice to say the least. The dress is one of my more recent charity shop finds, which I of course purchased from my favourite charity shop. I spied it in the window one evening after the shop had shut for the day, so literally ran into the shop as soon as it opened the next morning to claim it as my own. The top section of the dress is quite unflattering and looks rather cheap, hence why I teamed it with a shirt, but the sheer quality of the fabric and perfect midi length make up for that fact, plus at six pounds I can't complain! I hope you are all grand, have any of you found any bargains recently? Love, Jazzabelle.
You look beautiful and you wear a pleated midi better than anyone else I know!

The skirt / dress is lovely and I especailly like how you've put that shirt over the top. Loving black sheer skirts at the minute. Not really any bargains to boost about but topshop does have 20% student discount this weekend which is always a bonus and ASOS have an all right sale on. I want to get down to Battersea car boot soon

ReplyDeleteYou look so lovely! I love the dress. Maybe you could cut it off above the waist and add an elasticated waistband to make it more versatile so you can wear it with tops that wouldn't cover the top half of the dress?
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!!!! I am in London visiting my sister next weekend - might have to pay your charity shop a visit!!

This looks great!
ReplyDeleteI had some good second hand finds today - a friend was having a yard sale and apart from what I found there I also made stops at other yard sales and a vintage store or two on my walk home.
I ended up with a wool sweater ($4), Jean Jacket ($2), an american apparel baseball style shirt ($2), and a few books and magazines. My biggest Splurge was on a pair of vintage beige ballet flats with eyelet details, and by splurge I mean $18 dollars (which was pricey if you compare it to the rest of my purchases - haha)
Whenever I get good finds like these I always think of you
cheers!

These pictures show off the wonderful movement of the skirt - I can see why you had a hard time choosing between them.
ReplyDeleteInspired by you, I now spend a large chunk of my weekends poking about in charity shops. Next stop, a car boot sale! x

You look adorable hun, love a good charity shop find! Picked up a cute shirt the other day for £4 - just chopped the sleeves of to make it more 50s in style! xx
ReplyDeleteYou look simply stunning! So elegant and summery and I adore the pleated skirt and hat, I'm quite small so I don't think I could really get away with midi or maxi skirts, which is a pity as I love them. My recent bargain is a sweet little cream lace camisole for £2.99 from a charity shop, which will be fab for the summer :) x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always ! Everything is perfect, from hat to brogues.
