hey little darling, don't shed no tears.
I spent this dreary, rainy Tuesday out and about in my home town of London with my art class, visiting the Saatchi Gallery, taking a boat ride across the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich and visiting the National Maritime Museum. I wasn't really in the mood to go out today, but I've always wanted to go on a boat ride across the Thames so I couldn't resist. I'm glad I did, it was great fun sitting on the top deck eating sandwiches and taking photographs in the rain, I felt like such a tourist! Thank-you for all of your kind comments on my previous post by the way, I'm a little overwhelmed by the amount I recieved! Yesterday was indeed a better day for me, we recieved so many donations in my favourite charity shop (including six pairs of brand new Asos heels!), the stock was brilliant (we currently have two fifty pence rails!) and we made much more than our daily target. Love, Jazzabelle.

Gorgeous photos - you have a great eye! Love the way you've put the scarf in your hair also. Beautiful! x
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, they're awesome. Sometimes it's good to be a tourist. I was based in the Lake District for a while and sometimes it was nice to remind myself why people flock there and do the tourist stuff. It's so easy for surroundings to become wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's Jazz :) Makes me really miss London!
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting to a chance to come up and visit the galleries but never seem to get it together! One day...

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that yesterday was a better day for you & that today turned out ok too, even though it was dreary & wet :)
ReplyDeleteIt's fun being a tourist in your own hometown sometimes - it's nice to try & see things that you see day to day & maybe don't even notice anymore, through other people's eyes.
You got some great pics too!

ReplyDeleteI'm coming to London in three days time, these photographs are setting me off even more so! Though on my last trip we saw many of the 'famous' sights, I've already got a list as long as my arm of what else I want to see and explore.
You are my London inspiration, you really are.
I love it when a shop/brand donates brand new stock to Charity Shops, I got a leather Tula handbag for £2 that had been donated by a department store a few weeks back. The ASOS heels sound fabulous xxx
Your photos are amazing! I wish I could pop around London whenever I fancied.
ReplyDeleteAnd all the new charity shop stock sounds wonderful, I had a sneak peak at the ASOS heels on your twitpic too!

ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures! I've seen those settings thousands of times in postcards (and one or two in person :D), but these pictures are somehow different. Love the way the details stand out in the first two. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing you, too, of course, haha; but there's something special about these pics ;).
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have you seen that reality show where you see artists "auditioning" (or whatever you'd call that) to have their pieces exhibitted at Saatchi's gallery? They showed it on Fashion TV here, hehe.
Hope you have a nice day!
Miki.

What a gorgeous day! (Well, minus the horrible weather) What is the Saatchi gallery like at the moment? We went a few months ago and were marginally impressed - but I did knock over an exhibition so we hastily left haha. Brilliant news for your Charity Shop getting so many donations! :) jazzy ♥
