black, grey, (faux) leather and velvet.
-H&M faux leather gilet, charity shop, £8 -Chunky scarf, car boot sale, 25p -Zara cardigan, car boot sale, 50p - M&S St Michael velvet top, charity shop, 50p -Wedges, Debenhams, gift -Satchel, courtesy of Next -Audrey Necklace courtesy of Wallpaper Rose.
This is what I wore to the Clothing at Tesco cocktail party on Thursday evening, something a little bit different from my usual style. The H&M gilet and St Michael velvet top are my most recent charity shop finds, I adore them both so much! I wouldn't usually spend £8 on a secondhand piece, but the gilet was brand new with tags on (the RRP was £29.99) and I did manage to blag it down from £10 after I had a little conversation about the Victoria and Albert Museum with the lady. It's actually a size twelve, but I think it fits me rather perfectly and it means I'll be able to layer it with my favourite jumpers when it gets colder! This is also the first time I've worn velvet since I was a little girl, I really do dislike the texture, but it was just too lovely not to buy, I didn't even realize it was St Michael until I got home! Have you bought anything from your local charity shops recently? And what do you think of this more 'edgy' and 'grown up' style on me? Love, Jazzabelle. P.S. Have you entered my giveaway to win this beautiful F&F Limited Edition dress below? Be quick, it ends on Wednesday!

Lovely outfit, I love finding things that push me out of my comfort zone. I think this look still has your stamp on it, purely because of the spot tights and scarf, but it definitely has a slight Alexander Wang edge. I think you'll find your style will naturally develop and it's great to watch it happen!
ReplyDeleteGosh your legs just get longer and longer! You look stunning.
ReplyDeleteYou look great and it is always nice to try out something different because then you can become more comfortable and your style can develop. Love your headband!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this look. It has slightly more of an edgy vibe than your usual ensembles, but remains as delicate and lovely as always. What charity shops are you going to??????! This is a serious question as you find the most divine pieces! Whenever I venture in to my nearest one's I leave either empty handed and stressed or with something truly heinous. Please share your bargain-hunting wisdom! X
